Chocolate Afternoon Tea

Hi dear readers,

last weekend, I took T for a very special birthday treat to chocolate afternoon tea at Chancery Court Hotel. We had the most amazing and relaxing time with an excellent service and the chocolate treats were simply divine!

We stared off our afternoon with a traditional English afternoon tea set consisting of various delicious sandwiches, rolls with cream cheese and salmon and egg salad. They also served awesome scones (I’m such a sucker for these little golden pieces of heaven) with clotted cream and strawberry jam. We washed everything down with some delicious champagne and tea before we attacked the chocolate buffet.

The variety offered was fantastic – from brownies and Sacher tarte to pastry, mousses, pralines and a chocolate fountain – all to die for.  A lot of treats contained fruit such as mango, strawberries and raspberries which was a nice refreshing touch. We shared most of the delicious little creations and in this way managed to cover quite a few, but still far from trying all of them!

All in all we had one of the best afternoons ever with great food and excellent service in a nice location, and also the price tag is pretty pleasant with £23.50 pp for the choco afternoon tea, the champagne option goes for £34.95 pp. But take a look yourself!

The traditional afternoon tea goodies…

…followed by some serious delicious treats!
